Based in Bristol, we are two specialist teachers and assessors with 35 years’ experience across state and independent schools. As parents of neurodivergent children, we understand the challenges families face and are passionate about helping dyslexic learners feel confident, supported and understood.

We help each child recognise their strengths, build their skills and reach their full potential.

Katy Nolan

Specialist Teacher

Katy has taught in Bristol schools since 2001, spanning early years through to key educational milestones.

Her professional path took a personal turn when her own son was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven and later attended a specialist dyslexia school. Seeing him finally enjoy learning after finding the right support inspired Katy to pursue her own Level 7 Diploma in SpLD.

Through her years in the classroom, Katy has experience of teaching with a range of phonics approaches. She understands the important role phonics can play, but also recognises that some children need a more individualised approach to reading and spelling. As both a teacher and a parent, she understands firsthand the worries families can have when a child is struggling and works closely with Mary to design multi-sensory teaching programmes tailored to each learner.
